Teaser Tuesdays #3

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I am currently reading A Long, Long Time Ago and Essentially True by Brigid Pasulka. So far it has been a very enchanting little book.

Here is my teaser:)

She stood up and stared at her reflection in the small piece of mirror that Pigeon has mounted for her on the wall. She didn't want to recognize herself.

Wow, that is so unlike what I have been reading. I must be in for a major change in the flow of the book. I will let you know how it goes.
